The government and the opposition parties will hold a debate on the Constitution to mark its 75th year of adoption, parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju said on Monday.
The debates will be held next week. Parliament will hold discussions on the Constitution at 75 in Lok Sabha on December 13-14 and in Rajya Sabha on December 16-17.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is likely to reply. Several Union ministers will also intervene, sources told News18.
“Discussions on the Constitution will be held on the 13th and 14th in the Lok Sabha and on the 16th and 17th in the Rajya Sabha. There is a proper process for having a debate or discussion. Congress, SP and TMC can give their notices to speaker or chairman,” Rijiju said.
