Parineeti Chopra is beaming with pride as her film Uunchai bagged two major awards at the 2024 National Awards. Directed by the acclaimed Sooraj Barjatya, the film took home the prestigious Best Director award for Barjatya and the Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Neena Gupta. Parineeti, who starred in the film alongside Bollywood legends, expressed her joy by sharing the film’s poster on her Instagram stories with a simple yet powerful caption, “Proud.”
Uunchai tells the heartwarming story of friendship, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams, following a group of elderly friends on a life-changing journey to fulfil their late companion’s last wish. The film features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, and Neena Gupta. Their performances, coupled with Barjatya’s direction, have made Uunchai a standout film, earning it well-deserved recognition at the National Awards
Currently, Parineeti is enjoying a well-earned break in London, reflecting on the success of Uunchai and her recent film Chamkila, which also garnered much love from audiences.
