Opinion | Here’s How We Can End the War in Ukraine


As world leaders debate how to guarantee Ukraine’s long-term security and possible admittance into NATO, the people of Kyiv are experiencing an uptick in nightly air attacks from Russia.

Throughout the war, Ukraine has had to petition the West for weapons and support to stave off losing their country to the invading Russian forces. After a visit to Kyiv demonstrated just how urgently American antimissile technology is needed to protect Ukrainians from mass death, Opinion columnist David French makes the case that it is time for the United States to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to win against Russia, despite the immense risks of challenging Vladimir Putin.
