The first full-length trailer of the One Piece live-action series is out. The show which is based on Oda Eiichiro’s record-breaking manga and anime comes amidst much fan anticipation. One Piece has been around for over two decades and the pressure to perfect the live-action adaptation of the anime is on. The trailer opens with Going Merry. We then meet the Straw Hat Pirates – Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji.

The trailer teases an anime-accurate live-action adaptation
Right from the cast to costumes and settings, the series seems to have gotten One Piece’s world-building right. It has a natural look and feel that’s straight out of the anime. Additionally, the cast looks great.
The trailer didn’t reveal many fight sequences, we do see a glimpse of the Straw Hats in action. We also see Luffy using his powers. The show adapts the East Blue saga in its first season. However, the chronology hasn’t been confirmed.
One Piece will be released on August 31.
