Nothing Phone 2a is expected to be priced competitively in India.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 2a will be manufactured in India.
Nothing, led by Carl Pei, made its debut in India in 2022 with the introduction of the Nothing Phone 1. Since then, the company has expanded its portfolio, unveiling a variety of audio gear, introducing a sub-brand named CMF, and presenting the successor to the Phone 1, known as the Nothing Phone 2.
Now, as the brand gears up for the launch of its latest smartphone, officially named the Nothing Phone 2a, CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the device will be manufactured in India.
During an interaction on X (formerly Twitter), Pei responded to a user’s query about the phone’s production location in India, simply stating, “yup,” thereby confirming the information.
Nothing Phone 2a: Release Date
Nothing has already announced that the Nothing Phone 2a is set to be officially launched in India on March 5. The device is expected to be competitively priced, lower than the current flagship–Phone 2. The company is anticipated to reveal additional details about the device later today.
Nothing Phone 2a: Rumoured Specifications
Rumors suggest that the device will feature a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and will come equipped with a dual camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera and a secondary ultra-wide camera. It may be available in two variants: 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.
Regarding the design, it remains uncertain whether the phone will retain Nothing’s glyph lighting interface. Earlier reports this year suggested the possibility of the phone abandoning this feature, but they were proven false. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen which direction Nothing takes with its inaugural ‘a’ device.
