Ashneer Grover on getting grilled by Salman Khan in Bigg Boss 18: ‘Not a single thing demeaning…’

In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 18, host Salman Khan addressed some of the past statements made by former Shark Tank India judge and BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover. Salman mentioned that he doesn’t recall meeting Ashneer in the past and responded bluntly to some of his earlier remarks. When Ashneer apologised to Salman about his past statements, the actor said, “I don’t feel bad about all these. It’s just that when you give a wrong impression to someone about a person, that’s not right. Later it will bite you itself.”

Now, Ashneer has shared his side of the story on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. In a detailed post accompanied by a photo of him shaking hands with Salman, Ashneer praised Salman as a “great host and actor.” He also expressed confidence that the episode featuring their interaction must have garnered excellent TRP ratings.

Ashneer Grover’s post clarified several points, saying:

-Salman knows exactly what works on Bigg Boss.
-He has always admired Salman for his strong personality and business acumen and has never said anything negative about him.
-His business deal numbers are accurate and verified by banks and auditors.
-He did meet Salman for a three-hour brand collaboration meeting in May 2019 at JW Marriott Juhu, along with an ad director. While Salman may not remember it since Ashneer wasn’t a public figure back then, it did happen.
-The invite to appear on Bigg Boss as a guest wasn’t anonymous, and the payment was clear and straightforward.
-Finally, Ashneer ended his post on a positive note, thanking Salman and sharing a picture with him, joking that he finally got the photo he didn’t have earlier. “Keep rocking!” he wrote, signing off.

For those unaware, back in 2019, when Ashneer Grover was leading BharatPe, he brought Salman Khan on board as the brand ambassador. During an episode of the Vagerah Vagerah podcast last year, Grover revealed that he managed to negotiate Salman’s fee from Rs 7.5 crore to Rs 4.5 crore. He also mentioned that Salman’s team had refused his request for a photo with the actor at the time.
