Interfaith marriage became a topic of discussion after their wedding attracted a lot of attention. After an elegant yet modest wedding in Mumbai surrounded by friends and family from the business, the couple has now spoken their opinions on them being followers of different religions.

Sonakshi and Zaheer stated that no conversations had ever included their different faiths in an interview with ETimes. The couple called their celebration of interfaith marriage a lovely event. When the ‘Dabangg‘ actor thought back on their relationship, she said that although she and her husband are of different religions, their shared core principles have made them essentially similar.
“Basically, our parents have taught us to be good human beings and believe in God, irrespective of whatever name you know him by. The most important thing in life is to be a good person kind of values we have imbibed – that’s the kind of values we have imbibed, ” said Sonakshi.
Zaheer also stated that, despite their 50,000 differences, ‘it will never have anything to do with religion.’ In addition, he mentioned that Salman Khan’s father, ‘Salim uncle,’ had previously mentioned that this was what he had told ‘Salma Aunty’s’ parents when they were getting married.
The ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty‘ actor stated that she’s learnt to ignore it because neither Zaheer nor she see any relevance in it. “In the seven years that we were dating, the fact that we are from different faiths has never come up in a discussion. We both respect other religions. It’s never been an issue for us or even a discussion, ” concluded Sinha. She added that outside noise is the only thing causing the interfaith wedding to be noticed. As performers, she said, they are a part of the audiences who are from a variety of religious backgrounds.
After keeping their romance private, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal shocked fans by getting married last month. A plethora of images and videos from their wedding went viral on the internet. The duo worked together in ‘Double XL,’ which was released in 2022. Sonakshi’s parents were present at the wedding and took part in the festivities, despite reports to the contrary. However, her brothers Luv and Kussh Sinha were reportedly absent from the wedding and reception.
