Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda has joined the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad and will study BPGP MBA for the next two years. Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared several pictures from IIM and expressed her happiness about being admitted there and said that it is like a “dream” come true. She wrote, “Dreams do come true !!!!!!The next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026”.
Navya is now set to embark on a new academic journey as she joins the blended MBA program at IIM Ahmedabad for the class of 2026. This two-year BPGP course is an online MBA program designed for working professionals, featuring live online classes combined with on-campus modules. To be eligible, applicants must be at least 24 years old, hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (such as CA, CS, or ICWA), and have at least three years of professional experience. The selection process involves the IIM Ahmedabad Admission Test (IAT) or valid scores from CAT, GMAT, or GRE exams taken within the last five years, followed by a personal interview.
Navya recently shared her excitement on Instagram, posting pictures with her new batchmates at the IIM Ahmedabad campus, captioned, “Dreams do come true.” The course comes with a hefty price tag of Rs 20,00,000, highlighting its exclusivity and the high expectations from its participants.
The first photo she shared showed her dressed in a black suit. She also posted images of the lush green campus and the friends she seemed to have met there. Navya also posted a picture of herself cutting a cake on Instagram Stories, praising her teacher Prasad for assisting her in cracking the CAT/IAT admission examinations.
Netizens were filled with admiration and pride when they learned that Navya Naveli Nanda, a family member of the Bachchan family, is pursuing further studies. Many expressed their respect for her decision to prioritise education and carve out a unique path in business, away from the entertainment industry that her family is known for.
Navya Naveli Nanda, daughter of Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda, graduated from Fordham University in the USA with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology and UX Design. In a previous interview with Hindustan Times, Navya shared that she never aspired to join acting despite coming from a film family. Instead, she found her passion in business, realising by the end of her college journey that it was the path she wanted to pursue.
Navya may belong to a family of actors, but she has carved a niche for herself by pursuing her passion for entrepreneurship. In 2021, she launched Project Naveli to fight gender inequality in the country. She also held her podcast, What The Hell Navya, which featured Shweta and Jaya Bachchan.
