That RRR’s Naatu Naatu was nominated at the Oscars was in itself a huge feat. Now that they have won the award for Best Original Song, the celebrations have only doubled. One of the many iconic moments at the Oscars for team RRR also included a live performance of the song on stage. Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairava did a fantastic job in performing the most loved song of the year with cent percent energy.
However, a lot of backlash has also been received for not seeing any Indian onstage for the same. Fans were also hoping that Ram Charan and Jr NTR would recreate the onscreen moment on the Oscars stage once again. But it seems that they were not willing to do due to insufficient rehearsal time. They felt they wouldn’t be able to do justice to the song.
Rahul Sipligunj too was quoted on a leading entertainment portal, “If they would have entered the stage, it would have been a big blast for sure. I don’t know for sure what happened. I feel the same as you, the whole of India would have gone mad.”
Needless to say, the performance was top-notch and was a historic moment at the Oscars.
