Kangana Shares Cryptic Post After Winning LS Seat
Kangana took a cheeky jibe at the opposition party in India, by likening them to the ’40 thieves’ from the popular Arabian fable, Ali Baba. Her implication was that they were effortlessly trumped by Modi. She wrote, “Ek akela sab pe bhari (A lone fighter beats them all). It’s a big victory considering all other parties became one. It’s literally one man vs 40 chor (sic).”

About Kangana Ranaut
Ranaut, who took her first steps into the world of acting at the age of 17 in Anurag Basu’s film Gangster, wasn’t the only star seeking public approval. Other personalities on the ballot included Arun Govil, fresh from his role in Ramayan (Meerut), the twice-elected Hema Malini from Mathura, and the opposition’s choice from Asansol – TMC candidate Shatrughan Sinha. Stepping up as the most striking candidate from her native constituency of Mandi, Ranaut ran a campaign that was deeply rooted in her local connections. Despite criticism from rivals regarding her acting origins, the public threw their support behind her.
