The young changemakers on our 13th annual Forbes 30 Under 30 list are putting their intelligence into artificial intelligence. They’re automating more than ever, deploying AI in manufacturing (powering more-sustainable delivery routes), marketing (mass customized ads) and much more.

As for the rest of the entrepreneurs on the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30: They’re fighting climate change with carbon credit marketplaces, reinventing the 911 call, building banks and brewing up eco-friendly plastics.

To assemble the list, Forbes writers and editors—with the help of expert independent judges like Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper, actor Ayo Edebiri, athlete Devin Booker and GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke—evaluated more than 11,000 candidates on factors including funding, revenue, social impact, inventiveness and potential. For more on how we make the list, check out our methodology here.

The final product: 600 go-getters across 20 industries—and a peek into things to come. Take 27-year-old Matthew Vega-Sanz, who, along with twin brother Michael, is building their startup Lula to help almost 5,000 logistics and car rental companies build flexible insurance packages to reduce premiums, such as offering pay-per-day insurance for trucking fleets, car sharing and daily rentals. Coming soon: AI to sell the insurance. The 2024 Enterprise Technology listers count Flexport, the unicorn shipping company, among their customers and have $45 million in funding from folks like Founders Fund and Khosla Ventures.

Other notable names include Art & Style lister Kendall Jenner, 28, whose 818 Tequila sold more than 123,000 case last year; Music lister and rapper Alyssa “Latto” Stephens, 25, who says she’s on track to earn $12 million this year, thanks to music royalties, a tour with Lizzo and a quick acting stint on the TV sitcom Grown-ish; and Social Media lister Dylan Mulvaney, 27, who was named a 2023 Forbes Top Creator and raked in an estimated $2 million in earnings last year.
