She is fondly remembered for entertaining the audience with her vivid characters. Arshad Warsi’s step-sister, Asha was born in a Muslim family to Ashiq Hussain Warsi and Razia. For the unversed, Ashiq Hussain was a writer and a great poet and Razia was known for her acting.
She was born on May 27, 1956 originally her name was Nafeesa Sulta. After Nafeesa’s parents got divorced, Razia married lawyer IP Sachdev who later changed her name and her daughter’s name to Ranjana Sachdev and Asha Sachdev. Many may not know that Ashiq Hussain got married for the second time after separating from Razia. It was only then Arshad Warsi was born. Therefore, Asha Sachdev became Arshad Warsi’s step-sister.
