Matt Reeves shared that Robert Pattinson’s caped crusader will join James Gunn’s DCEU if it makes sense. He shared, “It really comes down to whether it makes sense. There was a story I wanted to tell, an epic crime saga. It’s been important to me to play that out, and James and Peter have been really great about that. They are letting us do that.”
Reeves also shared that he is currently working on The Batman’s sequel and is focusing on telling that story at present. When asked if Robert Pattinson will appear within the larger DC Universe, the director shared, “I don’t know, we will have to see where that goes.”

Originally scheduled for release in 2026, The Batman 2 has now been delayed by a year and will hit theatres worldwide on October 1, 2027.
