Made In Heaven, the hit series created by Zoya Akhtar has finally been renewed for a second season after four years of its release.
The original series revolved around the lives of two wedding planners, Karan and Tara, portrayed by Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala, as they face the challenges of life amidst the extravagant and lavish Indian wedding culture.
During the previous season, Karan and Tara gained knowledge about the unique experiences of brides and grooms from various backgrounds, leading them to uncover the intricacies of their own lives. Tara made the decision to leave her unhappy marriage, while Karan faced challenges as a homosexual man in a society where homosexuality is considered taboo.
On Thursday, Zoya Akhtar took to her Instagram handle and announced the arrival of Made In Heaven Season 2. The poster featured a bunch of withered roses on the ground and stated that the new season is approaching. Although the poster did not disclose the release date, Zoya Akhtar indicated that the second season of Made In Heaven would have more turmoil and commotion. She wrote, “The weddings, the drama & the chaos are about to get 2X grander. #MadeInHeavenS2OnPrime coming soon!”

The makers of the series assured that it will be a more profound exploration of relationships, individual challenges, and ethical predicaments. As the characters manoeuvre between traditional and modern values, the upcoming season will push societal boundaries while still being connected to the timeless themes of love, forgiveness, and self-exploration.
It will feature an ensemble cast including Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Jim Sarbh among others.
