The Transformers franchise is set to return with Transformers One, an animated film taking fans back to the origin of Cybertron’s legendary heroes. Directed by Josh Cooley, this new entry will explore the beginnings of characters like Optimus Prime (formerly Orion Pax) and Megatron (D-16).
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who has worked on all eight Transformers films, explained why the origin story was perfect for animation. “We knew live-action wasn’t realistic for this story. Animation lets us create new worlds that feel fresh and organic,” he said.
Transformers One will showcase the early relationship between Orion Pax and D-16, setting the stage for their eventual conflict. Featuring a stellar voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, and more, the movie promises an exciting new chapter for fans. The film hits Indian theaters on September 20, 2024, in English and Hindi, available in multiple formats like 2D, 3D, and IMAX.
