A double podium finish in 2025 will be all the more special for Ferrari.
Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are on the verge of registering a crazy feat in Formula 1 next season. Leclerc’s next podium finish in F1 will be his 44th. If Hamilton joins him in the top three in 2025, it will be the 16th podium they share in the sport. It will also replicate their respective 44 and 16 race numbers. An F1 fan highlighted this numerology on X (formerly Twitter). “4416 strikes again. The numerology within Ferrari is insane,” he wrote. Whether this is a sheer coincidence or fate is anyone’s guess. However, this stat only means that a double podium finish in 2025 will be all the more special for Ferrari.
Just realized Charles Leclerc’s next podium will be the 44th of his F1 career. And if Lewis Hamilton is up there with him, it’ll be their 16th podium together in F1.

Lewis Hamilton recorded the lowest finish of his Formula 1 career last season, taking seventh place in the overall standings. He will be hoping that the switch to Ferrari will light a fire back that will allow him to win more races in 2025. Charles Leclerc, on the other hand, finished third in the Drivers’ Championship in 2024, missing out on the runner-up spot to Lando Norris. He claimed three wins and 13 podiums last year.
Collectively, the 2025 Ferrari duo secured 18 podium finishes last year. They shared the stage only once during the Belgian GP.
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have already begun working together at Ferarri this week. The ex-Mercedes driver visited Ferrari’s factory in Maranello on Monday, ahead of his first test with the Italian carmakers at their Fiorano Circuit. He ran 30 laps with their 2023 car with thousands tuning up to witness the historical day. The British driver registered a best time around the one-minute mark as he was unable to push his automobile harder due to weather conditions. His partner Leclerc was a few seconds slower because the Monagasque driver only ran in the rain.
After sharing the track with Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc sent a ‘very special message to his new partner. Following the Ferrari testing, Leclerc shared several photos from the day on Instagram and wrote, “Back living the dream. So good to be driving again and to see all the tifosi at the track. [It] was a very special day for the team and Lewis as well and was really happy to be there to see it.“Can’t wait to get this season started.”
Ferrari are currently set to run another test in Barcelona. It will be held before the pre-season testing in Bahrain that is scheduled for February.
