KOTA: The district administration in Rajasthan‘s Kota has stayed tests and coaching exams for two months amid rising suicide cases among students.
The development comes amid two NEET students ending their lives within hours on Sunday.
The Kota district administration has citied the need for mental support to stay the tests and examinations.
“In order to provide mental support and security to the studying/residential students, the examinations, being conducted from time to time, in all coaching institutes operating in Kota, have been stayed with immediate effect for the next two months,” read an official release by the district administration on Sunday.

On Sunday, the student, identified as Avishkar from Maharashtra, died after jumping from the 6th floor of the building.
Whereas, Adarsh Raj (18) from Bihar, hanged himself in his rented house over low scores in tests.
Earlier this month, chief minister Ashok Gehlot also formed a committee to probe rising suicide cases among students, asking it to submit its report at the earliest.
