Karan Johar has recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo from his early days as a director. The photo features Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji, resting in between takes in their Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna costumes.

Karan took to the description to thank Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan for motivating him to become a director. “Not a single day I haven’t thanked the universe, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan for convincing me that I could be a story teller and attempt to direct my childhood dreams on celluloid,” he added.
He also added that his biggest learning curve was witnessing actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji portray their characters with perfection.
Fans took to the comments to laud the throwback photo. They also appreciate Karan for creating Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and other entertaining movies over the years.
