After a long wait, Jr NTR’s film Devara finally made it to the big screens on September 27. The movie created a towering buzz in the entertainment industry after its trailer was released. However, to everyone’s surprise, the film received mixed reviews from fans and critics. Despite that, the film raked in Rs 82.5 crore on day one, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk.
Devara Day 2 Box Office Collection
Now, on day 2, which was also the first Saturday after its release, reports claim that the film witnessed a significant drop in collections. As per early estimates by the industry tracker, Devara’s collection dropped down to Rs 40 crore on day two. While the numbers were shared in the evening and are only early estimates, it is expected that the actual figures might go up to Rs 28-30 crore. In terms of worldwide collection, Devara has minted Rs 145 crore, out of which Rs 82.50 crore came from domestic collections.
Even though there was a major drop on day 2, the film is expected to enter the Rs 200 crore club in just two days of its release. It was anticipated that Devara would at least cross the opening numbers of Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD and achieve the second-highest openings of the year. However, to everyone’s disappointment, the movie did not secure the second position.
