PVRINOX Pictures is set to release the action-packed adaptation of the hit video game, Borderlands, directed by Eli Roth. The film, produced by Avi and Ari Arad along with Erik Feig, features an all-star cast including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Edgar Ramirez, Florian Munteanu, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Borderlands hits Indian theatres on August 9, 2024.
The film follows Lillith, played by Cate Blanchett, a notorious outlaw who returns to her tumultuous home planet, Pandora. Tasked with finding the missing daughter of the powerful Atlas, Lillith teams up with a group of quirky misfits. Among them is Tannis, an eccentric scientist portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis.
When approached for the role, Jamie Lee Curtis eagerly accepted, saying, “Okay, I’m in.” Reflecting on her character, Curtis shared, “It was great fun exploring Tannis. You have a diverse group working together to achieve a common goal, which makes for a very satisfying story. Audiences love that big narrative drive.”
With its stellar cast and gripping plot, Borderlands promises an intense and thrilling cinematic experience. Directed by Eli Roth, the film dives deep into the complexities of its characters and the chaotic universe they inhabit.
