IU shares details about her new music video with BTS’ V

South Korean singer-songwriter IU has announced a collaboration with BTS member V for a music video. Before V’s military enlistment, he promised to appear in IU’s music video, and the two artists, known for their close friendship, had to quickly produce the video before V’s enlistment. IU has teased the upcoming album with V in her latest YouTube vlog, and its set to release in 2024.

IU’s YouTube vlog features her preparation for her first commercial shoot, along with some Q&A. During the interview, IU teased her upcoming music video with V, promising something that the audience has “never seen” in her videos before. She said, “When I was shooting the MV, it was so good, the tone and mood. Even without any CG, it was great. Something that you’ve never seen in lU’s MVs.”

The interviewer further asked about the time when IU attempted an escape during the shoot with V to which she jokingly replied, “To be honest, I tried (to run away). But I got a flat tire. What’s funnier is that V first got a flat tire, so I was like ‘Let’s run away’ but my car too got a flat tire. I think they planted something like glass on the site so we couldn’t get away.”
