A UK ticket-holder has won Friday’s £122 million EuroMillions jackpot, according to the National Lottery.
The lucky player matched all five Euromillions numbers as well as the two Lucky Star numbers.
Players are being urged to check their tickets in order to claim the prize of £122,550,350.80
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: ‘What brilliant news, one UK winner has scooped tonight’s massive £122 million EuroMillions jackpot.
‘They are now the fifth biggest ever National Lottery winner.’

It is the second UK EuroMillions jackpot winner this year, after another lucky ticket-holder won the £39 million jackpot in the draw on New Year’s Day.
The winning EuroMillions numbers were 04, 21, 34, 40, 47, and the Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 05.
It comes a year after Ryan Hoyle, a father-of-one who is split from the mother of his 11-year-old daughter, won £58,366,487.
The win meant the self-employed joiner, 38, ranked 20th place on the National Lottery millionaires’ rich list.
Mr Hoyle, from near Rochdale, Greater Manchester, was unable to celebrate face-to-face with his parents, who were in lockdown in their own home.
He said: ‘(When I found out) I was shaking and really needed a second opinion so I jumped in the van and drove round to mum and dad’s house.
Ryan Hoyle, 38, was last revealed as the winner of a £58million EuroMillions jackpot
‘I stuck to the government guidelines and kept a safe distance outside and passed the phone through the window for them to double-check for me.
‘They even checked my numbers against another website, just to be sure. It was real – I had won £58 million.
‘Dad congratulated me from inside their house whilst Mum shouted out if she could retire now?! I replied yes,’ he added.
Mr Hoyle discovered that he had won the £58m jackpot prize while checking his online lottery account at 6am on Saturday, April 18, 2020.
The winning main numbers in Friday’s draw were: 16, 28, 32, 37, and 45 while the winning EuroMillions lucky star numbers were 01 and 11.
The joiner said he typically purchases lottery tickets in store but due to the coronavirus lockdown, he has started to purchase tickets online.
‘I always wake up early and was sat on the edge of my bed but couldn’t work out what I was looking at,’ Hoyle said.
The self-employed joiner discovered the win at 6am the following day and his jackpot means that the father-of-one now ranks 20th place on the National Lottery millionaires’ rich list
‘The email linked to my account which looked like a lot of numbers and I thought it might be millions but I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing.
‘I couldn’t make sense of it and really needed to talk to someone so I called mum and dad.
‘It was 6am so they assumed that I had locked myself out of the flat somehow as it has happened before.’
Mr Hoyle said he planned to finish work on his brother’s house before considering his next move, but would allow his father, a factory worker, to retire and pay for a hip replacement for his mother.
He also planned to pay for a trip with his 11-year-old daughter to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida once coronavirus travel restrictions were lifted.
‘If she’s lucky and she behaves well, she might get her iPhone 11,’ said Mr Hoyle, who shares childcare with her mother.
He added: ‘Right now I’m not focused on spending it on myself. I’m going to see the family right as well as my closest friends.
‘Mum works at the local school as a cleaner and has been struggling with a sore hip for years, so it would be great to see her take early retirement straight away.’
Mr Hoyle’s substantial windfall, which makes him richer than Harry Potter star Emma Watson (£55m) and on par with ex-One Direction singer Harry Styles, follows on from the win back in November of Steve Thomson, 42, and wife Lenka, 41.
The couple, from Selsey, West Sussex, claimed a prize of £105m.
Steve Thomson, 42, and his wife Lenka, 41, became the seventh-biggest winners in history with their gigantic prize in 2019, which saw them claim a jackpot of £105m in EuroMillions
The biggest ever UK winner was announced in October 2019.
The winner, who was not named, won a staggering £170million on the EuroMillions jackpot.
The win made the lucky Briton richer than singer Adele, who is estimated to be worth around £150million.
However, the win pales in comparison to the world’s biggest ever lottery win, which stands at £1.308billion.
It was won in 2016 on the Powerball in the US, for which three winning tickets were sold.
