The I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! lineup has been officially unveiled by ITV, with just six days to go until the new series.
While rumours have swirled for months about the stars set to be jetting to Australia for a three-week stay in the rat-infested camp, first look snaps have given fans a full glimpse at the lineup.
However, there are two names noticeably absent from the confirmed lineup, hinting that they are going to be late additions to the camp.
Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles are also set to take part in the show, and are expected to be heading into the camp later in the series.
Leading the confirmed pack is Coleen Rooney, who has ditched her WAG glamour for the famous jungle get-up as this year’s highest-paid signing.
Coleen has revealed how she has been asked multiple times to be on the show and has finally said yes this year because her children are old enough.
Ahead of her appearance, she said: ‘Over the years there have been different things going on in my life and also my children have been really young.’
Coleen also spoke about her ‘supportive’ husband Wayne’s feelings about her entering the show, insisting he is ‘fine’ with her spending time away.
The I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! lineup has been officially unveiled by ITV, with just six days to go until the new series (L-R Tulisa, Coleen Rooney, Barry McGuigan, Danny Jones, Melvin Odoom, Oti Mabuse, Alan Halsall, Jane Moore, GK Barry and Dean Mcullough)
Leading the pack is Coleen Rooney , who has ditched her WAG glamour for the famous jungle get-up as this year’s highest-paid signing
She will be joined by big names such as Tulisa Contostavlos, who didn’t shy away from the chance to show off her abs in a blue crop top
She said: ‘Wayne is supportive, he’s fine with it all. If he had the time, he’d have a go.’
Revealing he might be glad of a break from her bad habit, she joked: ‘Wayne says I snore, not continuously though.’
Confirmation of Coleen’s jungle appearance comes just as she opened up about her marriage struggles on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast on Monday: ‘Wayne and I are a team. We’ve helped each other through life.
We are good at seeing the best outcome, rather than the worst. Hopefully it’s going to like that for the rest and it’s going to be a nice, smooth-sailing marriage. I don’t know if you can get one of them.’
She will be joined by big names such as Tulisa Contostavlos, who didn’t shy away from the chance to show off her abs in a blue crop top as she posed for her first official I’m A Celeb snap.
Despite looking incredible in her promo shot, the former X Factor judge admitted she won’t be attempting to recreate Myleene Klass’ iconic jungle shower moment.
She said: ‘I am wearing black. I am going to pack three plain bikinis, as I don’t want to draw attention to myself.’
Referring to Myleene’s white swimwear, she said: ‘I am not going to step out in white. It will be the polar opposite and if someone can hold up a towel then I will (ask them!).’
There were two noticeable absences from the first ten names confirmed for this year’s series, with the first being Maura Higgins, who is expected to enter the jungle as a late addition
Reverend Richard Coles, who was heavily rumoured to be heading to the famous I’m A Celeb jungle, is also expected to enter as a late addition
Tulisa revealed she is entering the jungle in the hopes of changing public perception of her, saying: ‘I am not the person people perceive me to be and this will be the chance for everyone to get to know the real me.’
Tulisa said she hopes people will finally find out more about the real her, rather than ready-made perceptions they may already have of the pop star.
She explains: ‘I am like Frodo Baggins on an unexpected journey. I feel really adventurous this year and the place I am now in, I want to do things that take me out of my comfort zone. I have always said I wouldn’t do this show in the past, as there are things that have terrified me.’
The N-Dubz singer said she is going to need more than hypnosis to conquer her fears in the jungle, after avoiding appearing on the programme in the past because she was so terrified.
But the star said she feels a lot more adventurous this year and wants to take on the challenges – but wouldn’t reveal what scares her in case the viewers pick her for those challenges.
Meanwhile, McFly singer Danny Jones is on a winning streak with The Masked Singer and The Voice UK victories under his belt. But he’s not sitting at home staring at his trophies – instead, he’s ready for another challenge.
Danny describes I’m A Celebrity as a ‘bucket list thing’ and says: ‘I felt very privileged to be asked to do it. This is an amazing opportunity. I had time in the diary, which was insane. I’ll never get the opportunity again.
I’ve always learned so much more from pushing myself out of my comfort zone. For me it’s learning about myself as well. And showing my little boy that it’s ok to be scared – it’s do it and conquer it.’
McFly star Danny Jones is the latest member of the famous boyband to head Down Under, after Dougie Poynter took part in the show in 2011
Danny’s bandmate Dougie (pictured in 2011) is a former Jungle King, however he admitted he doesn’t feel any pressure from the lads in the group to achieve the same
After being forced to withdraw from last year’s show due to a knee injury, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall is taking part in this year’s show
Asked which Trials he’s dreading, Danny laughs: ‘All of them… it’s genuinely all of them.’
Danny’s bandmate Dougie Poynter is a former Jungle King, however he admitted he doesn’t feel any pressure from the lads in the group to achieve the same.
Danny will join Alan Halsall, who was slated to appear on the show last year, but was forced to pull out due to a knee injury.
The Coronation Street legend joked his appearance on I’m A Celebrity is the ‘worst kept secret’.
Alan – who has played Corrie’s Tyrone Dobbs for 26 years – says he can’t wait to finally take part in the hit ITV show.
Smiling, Alan says: ‘It feels like the worst kept secret ever! It was a bit of a shock when I got the knee injury last year and whilst I am signed off surgically, I still have several months of physio ahead of me.
‘But a top football professional like Rodri, for example, would take about a year to get back to playing football (after something like I’ve had) and he has the best medical staff in the world. So for y your average Joe like me it is going to take longer.’
Elsewhere, Oti Mabuse, who became a first time mother last year, said she is looking forward to leaning into her adventurous side again.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse is another of the big names that’s joined this year’s lineup
She said ‘Now I have had my baby daughter, I want to get back to the adventurous and fun Oti. I feel ready for a change and doing something completely different. I will have no make-up, concealer, lashes – it’s going to be nice to be laid back.’
Oti joked that she is also keen to catch up on the year’s worth of sleep she has lost and will also be teaching her campmates some dance moves.
Also appearing in this series of the show is Loose Women star and journalist Jane Moore, who has promised some ‘lively debate’ on the show.
As a regular panellist on Loose Women, Jane Moore is never afraid to express her strong views – which is planning to bring to the I’m A Celebrity camp.
Admitting she loves finding out about people’s lives, Jane promises she will be asking plenty of questions in an ‘organic way’ during her time in the jungle, just as she does on the daytime series.
‘I will fill the hours with good chat,’ explains Jane. ‘I find people really interesting and I want to have organic conversations. I won’t be like, ‘Tell me about the time…’ but I will be asking questions just because I am interested. I hope they (my fellow campmates) don’t get offended!’
While Jane won’t be joined by her dream campmates’ – Madonna, Adele and Victoria Beckham – on the show, she will be accompanied by social media star GK Barry.
The TikToker has admitted she hasn’t slept in a month ahead of her appearance on the show and said she is terrified ‘of everything’.
Podcast presenter GK Barry is hoping to draw in younger audiences with a stint on the show, thanks to her huge social media following
BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough is another addition to the lineup hoping to draw in young viewers, as a regular on the airwaves and on social media
She confessed: ‘I haven’t slept in a month. I am scared of the Trials and I am genuinely scared of everything.
‘The eating trial to me is the worst thing you can do to a human being. You also don’t know who you are going to click with either but hopefully after the first week, I will settle in nicely.’
Grace, who went public with her relationship with her girlfriend earlier this year, said that she will miss her and her cat the most during her time away.
She said: ‘When you are missing home and all you want is your comfort people, then that will be hard if they are not there, ‘she explains. ‘But my girlfriend is also very excited for me and thinks I will do really well.’
She then joked: “I have got her a cardboard cut out of me so it’s not weird when I am away!”
Rounding out this year’s lineup legendary sportsman Barry McGuigan, DJ Dean McCullough, radio presenter Melvin Odoom.
Ahead of her I’m A Celeb stint, Coleen had reportedly threw herself into gym workouts to get herself into shape for the famous jungle showers.
According to The Sun, Coleen has recently switched from weights-based classes to reformer pilates ahead of her appearance on the show.
Legendary boxer Barry McGuigan also received his pre-jungle transformation, as stars begin flying to Australia ahead of their show stint
A source said: ‘Coleen has been hitting the pilates sessions religiously and thrown herself into having a svelte physique so she looks amazing on screen.
‘There will be younger women on the show with her and she, understandably, wants to feel confident in a bikini on screen.’
On Monday, podcast presenter GK Barry joined Radio 1 DJ Dean as the latest stars to touch down in Brisbane.
Arriving Down Under, the internet personality, whose relation name is Grace Keeling, said the 22-hour flight was ‘a horror’ which saw her ‘down a whole bottle of wine’.
Claiming she was in Brisbane for ‘a zen retreat to work on myself’ she then went on to ask if there was Wetherspoon’s in Australia.
A self-proclaimed Wag, as she is in a relationship with England footballer Ella Rutherford, Grace joked that her girlfriend would ‘starve’ without her cooking and would be like ‘a grain of rice’ when she returned.
Dressed in a brightly-coloured green tracksuit, Dean was full of smiles as he touched down at the airport after his long 24-hour flight.
Arriving Down Under, Dean said: ‘This is actually my first time in Australia. I’m here to pick up two koalas I’ve adopted, ones black and the other is white.
And in a nod to the show’s longtime hosts he added: ‘They’re called Anthony and Declan.’
When asked if he was prepared for the trip, the radio star added: ‘I’ll be alright. I’ve dealt with a lot of snakes in my time.’
Former X-Factor judge Tulisa, 36, stepped back from the spotlight in 2013 after a series of scandals but ten years later went on tour with N-Dubz and is now re-entering the reality TV world with a stint on the ITV flagship show.
While majority of this year’s stars have arriving Down Under unscathed, a raging thunderstorm threatened to divert the plane carrying the first I’m A Celeb stars to Sydney Airport.
McFly star Danny, along with the show’s spin-off hosts Sam, Joel and Kemi were one of the last passengers to touch down in Brisbane unscathed – all other flights had to make the 1:35 hour diversion.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Melvin Odoom is among the big names moving into the rat-infested camp, while stars will face a string of Bushtucker Trials to win stars, and food, for the other celebrities
Rounding out the first 10 stars who are heading into the jungle is Loose Women star Jane Moore, the latest star of the ITV show to take part
In a hellish experience for passengers the plane was forced to hang above the runway for a time before it could land with Danny telling MailOnline: ‘The flight was pretty stormy, bit bumpy, bit of a hairy flight.’
Danny is following in the footsteps of his former band member Dougie Poynter, who went on to win the show in 2011.
Speaking to MailOnline Danny didn’t confirm he is taking part in the show, and instead joked he had big plans for his time Down Under: ‘I’m going to record a solo album. I’m going to be surfing, recording an album but the McFly boys don’t know it yet.’
Despite a knee injury threatening his attendance, Coronation Street‘s Alan was the second star to arrive at Brisbane Airport.
The actor, 42, who is best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap opera was forced to pull out of last year’s series because of the same knee injury which has since flared up again.
Last November, the father-of-one underwent major knee surgery and was told by doctors it could take him up to a year to recover.
The surgery sees the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructed by removing the torn ligament and replacing it with a tendon from another area of the leg.
It was reported on Friday the Coronation Street star had to pull out of a padel competition because of his knee and so speculation grew he would not make it to the Jungle.
‘Alan was meant to be taking part in a padel competition but pulled out at the last minute because his knee was playing up,’ a source told The Sun.
‘It’s fine now but he just has to be really careful. He might not be able to take part in some of the trials, bosses are currently working out if he will be ruled out of any.
‘It’s a huge blow for Alan because he was looking forward to throwing himself into it and now has to be a bit wary.’
Arriving Down Under, Alan kept to ITV’s strict rules about not discussing his appearance on I’m A Celebrity until the official line-up has been revealed and insisted he was there for a golfing holiday.
He told MailOnline: ‘Not sure what all the fuss is about, I’m here on a golfing holiday. It’s a long way to travel for a golfing holiday but I’m an avid fan.’
When asked about his Coronation Street co-star Andy Whyment’s stint in the Jungle, he joked: ‘I wouldn’t take any advice of Andy! The plan is I’m going to be living in luxury while I’m here.’
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will once again be at the helm as hosts of the new series, which kicks off on November 17th
Instead of the fan-favourite Walk The Plank challenge which has been axed, selected contestants are rumoured to this year be taking part in ‘an equally terrifying’ starting challenge at Diamond Head.
The sprawling estate in Coomera, Queensland, which has been rented by the likes of Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp, will reportedly play host to a handful of celebrities as they complete their first challenge before the Jungle next Sunday.
The 45 acre plot of land boasts a landing strip for private jets, a helicopter operations centre, a go-kart track, a marina for boats, a main residence and guest house.
Known as Diamond Head, the impressive residence was previously owned by the Australian motorcycling champion, Mick Doohan, who bought it for £886,000 in 1996.
The location has been praised for its level of privacy and rarity for its vast size in such a high demand area of Australia’s Gold Coast.
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! returns on Sunday 17th November on ITV1 and ITVX.
