I for India concert helped collect Rs. 52 crores for COVID-19 relief


Several eminent celebrities from across the globe came together for an at-home concert last night. An initiative by Give India, this digital concert was organised to raise funds for frontline workers who need provisions during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The line-up for this show was massive with names like Shah Rukh Khan, Bryan Adams, Will Smith, Priyanka Chopra, Mindy Kaling, Ranveer Singh, Lily Singh, Jonas Brothers, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and many more who performed on screen and spread information about the virus.

Proving to be a massive success, Karan Johar, who was spearheading this concert announced that a total of Rs. 52 crores were raised for relief. A total of Rs. 4.3 crores were raised through Facebook donations and Rs. 47.77 crores were raised via corporate donations. 

The proceeds of this initiative will go to Give India organisation for relief work during the lockdown.
