In the latest news of Bollywood drawing inspiration from Hollywood films, an Indian remake of Begin Again is in the works. And if new reports are to be believed, Farhan Akhtar will play the lead role.
Begin Again which was released in 2013, featured Mark Ruffalo, Keira Knightley and Adam Levine. The film follows a songwriter who captures the attention of a record label executive. The two get together and make music. It gained recognition for its hit songs including Lost Stars.
Reports also mention that the film led by Farhan Akhtar will be directed by Nitya Mehra who is best known for Baar Baar Dekho and Unpaused. Currently, Farhan Akhtar is making headlines for Don 3 which is led by Ranveer Singh who is set to take over the mantle from Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
The Begin Again remake is expected to start production soon with the shooting schedule set for the end of the year.
