In contrast to the on-screen bromance between Aamir Khan and Salman Khan’s characters Amar and Prem in Andaz Apna Apna, the two Bollywood stars reportedly had a strained relationship off-screen, often leading to disagreements during filming. Actor Shehzad Khan, in a recent interview, shed light on the differences between Aamir and Salman, attributing their clashes to their distinct work approaches.
Shehzad Khan, who played a pivotal role in the film, often found himself playing the role of peacemaker and mediator between Aamir and Salman due to their friction. One of the major points of contention was their timing on set. While Aamir was known for his punctuality, arriving at the Madh Island set by 7–7:30 am, Salman would arrive much later, around 10–11 am. Shehzad defended Salman, citing the distance he had to travel from Bandra, which made it challenging for him to arrive early.
Despite their differences, Shehzad Khan praised both actors for their professionalism and the exceptional performances they delivered. He mentioned that they had a lot of fun on set, especially when the producer would bring home-cooked food, creating a familial atmosphere. Aamir Khan had previously revealed on Karan Johar’s talk show that he had a negative experience working with Salman, finding him rude and inconsiderate, which contributed to their strained relationship during the filming of Andaz Apna Apna.
