Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, recently welcomed his first child with longtime girlfriend Erin Darke. The pair was spotted pushing a pram through New York City on 25 April, confirming the baby’s birth.
The news was also confirmed by Radcliffe’s agent in a statement that read: “We can confirm that Erin Darke and Daniel Radcliffe have welcomed their first child.”
Notably, the American actress Erin Darke and the actor have been together for more than ten years. The duo has been dating since they initially connected on the sets of Kill Your Darlings in 2012. While Daniel Radcliffe portrayed poet Allen Ginsberg in the film, Darke portrayed Gwendolyn, a love interest. The couple rarely appears on the red carpet and is known for being private.
Last year, when discussing parenting, Radcliffe said, ”I want my kids – if and when they exist – I would love them to be around film sets…I wouldn’t want fame for my kid. Film sets are wonderful places. A lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids, but it’s really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs.”
