Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu to crown her successor in 2023?

As per reports, the Miss Universe organisation has decided to host the 71st edition of the prestigious international pageant in the first quarter of 2023. The news went viral following an email received by the national directors informing the same; regardless, an official statement is yet to be made.

While it was rumoured that Puerto Rico was negotiating to host the next edition, the Puerto Rican government has confirmed that they have been negotiating to host the pageant’s 72nd edition. However, the finale date and venue for the 71st edition is yet to be announced.

Indian beauty and pride Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, who is the reigning queen, was crowned Miss Universe 2021 at the 70th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, which was held at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel, on 13th December last year, and she will have a longer reign than expected. India won the coveted crown after a hiatus of 21 years, marking the third victory of the country in the pageant’s history.
