The final trailer for The Boys spin-off series Gen V is out now. Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke are the masterminds behind the series which is set in a world where superheroes exist, but many of them have negative characteristics. Unlike traditional superheroes, these individuals did not develop their abilities naturally. Instead, they were given a secret formula known as Compound V, which is closely guarded by the Vought Corporation and serves as the inspiration for the show’s name. Eric Kripke, the creator of the original series, is also involved in the production of Gen V.

The final trailer sees the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting as a foreboding institution, similar to the Charles Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, but with a sinister twist influenced by Vought. The series might be about teenagers but it also shows many R-rated formulas such as gore, and sex mixed with humour.

Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations … literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when superpowers are involved.
