On Tuesday, fans of the highly anticipated film Adipurush were treated to a glimpse of its refined visual effects. The movie, which faced negative feedback from audiences after its teaser release last year, had to be delayed from its original January 12 release date. However, it will now premiere on June 16, following a grand world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The new trailer showcases several altered shots, but none from the original teaser. Fans have shared comparisons between the two on social media, with some noting similarities between Adipurush’s special effects and those in Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra, which received positive reviews for its VFX despite criticism of its weak narrative.
It is yet to be determined if these alterations will be enough to captivate the viewers and guarantee the triumph of the movie.
Adipurush, adapted for the big screen by Om Raut, is inspired by the Indian epic Ramayana. The cast features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan. After premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, Adipurush is set to release in theatres on June 16.
