Baiju Bawra is said to be one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s passion projects, talks of which have been ongoing for a long time. Several names of A-listers have popped up who are being considered for the film. The CEO of Bhansali Productions recently shared that the casting of the film has been ongoing since the pandemic. Since then lots of news have appeared stating Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are being considered for the lead roles. At one point of time there was a buzz that three heroes were being considered for the film.
Our sources suggest that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has held auditions for a lead female role in the film. Rhea Chakraborty has reportedly auditioned for this role.
On the work front, Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be back with a new project – Heeramandi. The web series will premiere on OTT soon. Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha, Manisha Koirala, and Sanjeeda Sheikh are all a part of SLB’s project.
