While the series is being praised through and through for the subject and incredible acting by the cast, Patralekhaa recalled how she was able to bag the role and establish her place in the script. During an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Patralekhaa opened up on pestering director Anubhav Sinha for six months before bagging the role. “I knew that Anubhav Sinha sir was writing the script and I pestered him for six months. He was not really sure. He told me there wasn’t much but I really wanted to work with him,” she said.Delving deeper, Patralekhaa noted that one of her wishes was to work with Anubhav Sinha. She further added, “Like I said when you asked me, working with a good director is non-negotiable. Anubhav sir is a master in his craft and it was in my bucket list to work with him. When you work with really good directors, they somehow bring out the best in you, like Hansal (Mehta) sir and Anubhav sir.”
During the interview, Patralekhaa also opened up on feeling claustrophobic during the shooting. While the sets were larger-than-life, Patralekhaa revealed that the scenes with too many actors inside the plane seemed suffocating to her. “I honestly felt quite claustrophobic inside. There’s really close proximity in any flight. You can’t do too much movement there. Imagine having 100 juniors and 4 to 5 cameras inside. There were many members of the crew and the cast. So, it did get to me,” she quipped.
