On September 12, the Television Academy came together for the 74th Emmy Awards 2022. The ceremony that honours the best TV shows of the year was a star-studded event that took place in Los Angeles. Succession had the most nominations and bagged the Outstanding Drama Series award. The White Lotus and Ted Lasso followed close behind with several nominations. The former won the award for Outstanding Limited Series.
Meanwhile, Squid Game star Lee Jung-Jae made history as he became the first-ever Asian actor to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Zendaya also made history as the first black woman to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category twice for her role in Euphoria.
