In a recent interview, Divya Dutta shared her experience of working with Vicky Kaushal on the film Chhaava. She described Vicky as adorable and praised his dedication, saying that he wouldn’t leave the set until he had provided cues to his co-stars, even when she urged him to go. She also called him one of the finest actors in the industry.
Dutta emphasized Vicky’s humility and modesty, noting that despite his exceptional acting skills, he remained grounded. The duo often conversed in Punjabi, which helped foster a strong bond on set.
Dutta, who plays Soyarabai in the period drama, expressed excitement about the role, which is set during the Maratha king’s reign. Her character is deeply involved in a conspiracy against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, offering her a challenging and unique portrayal.
Reflecting on her character’s transformation, Dutta mentioned that the role’s look and persona were unlike anything she had previously done. The process of dressing up and stepping into the character’s world made the experience even more immersive.
