Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan once accused Aishwarya Rai for publicly not accepting her relationship with Salman.
It was no secret that Salman Khan had strong feelings for Aishwarya Rai. Their relationship remains one of the most talked-about topics in Bollywood history. Aishwarya was also once in a relationship with Vivek Oberoi before marrying Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. However, not many people know that Aishwarya remained in touch with Salman even while she was with Vivek. These hints were dropped by none other than Salman’s brother, Sohail Khan.
Aishwarya fell in love with Salman during the making of the 1999 romantic drama Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The couple split in 2002, and Aishwarya later began dating Vivek Oberoi while filming the 2004 movie Kyun! Ho Gaya Na. After their breakup, Aishwarya opened up about the challenges she faced during her relationship with Salman.
In an interview with The Indian Express, the actress said, “I stood by him, enduring his alcoholic misbehavior in its worst phases, and in turn, I was at the receiving end of his abuse—verbal, physical, and emotional—infidelity, and indignity. That is why, like any other self-respecting woman, I ended my relationship with him.”
However, Aishwarya’s statement did not sit well with Sohail Khan, who blamed the actress for never publicly acknowledging her relationship with Salman. During a media interaction, Sohail said, “Now she weeps in public. When she was going around with him, visiting our home so often like part of the family, did she ever acknowledge the relationship? She never did. That made Salman feel insecure. He wanted to know how much she wanted him, but she would never let him be sure of that.”
Sohail also suggested that Aishwarya might have been in contact with Salman while dating Vivek, hinting at potential complications between the two relationships. He said, “Aishwarya was in constant touch with Salman until recently on the mobile, and that’s what upset Vivek.”
Meanwhile, Aishwarya is currently married to Abhishek Bachchan, the son of Amitabh Bachchan. However, the couple’s relationship seems to be going through turmoil, with various speculations claiming they are heading for divorce or have already separated. Nevertheless, Abhishek recently confirmed that he and Aishwarya are still together. The couple shares a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan.
