BTS member Suga has been fined $11,500 (over Rs 10 lakh) by a Seoul court after the K-pop star was found riding an e-scooter while under the influence of alcohol. A judge issued the fine on Monday.
Last month, Suga issued a statement saying, “I deeply apologize for the disappointment and hurt for my misbehaviour for my fans and everyone who loves me.” The police revoked his license after the incident.
For the unversed, Suga was riding an e-scooter at night. He tripped while parking and failed a breath test that measured his blood alcohol level.
BTS announced a break from group activities as the idols are completing their mandatory military duties. While Jin has completed his 18-month service, Suga, RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook are yet to complete their term. The band will reunite in June 2025.
