On August 23, BTS member Suga attended the Yongsan Police Station for the first round of questioning regarding his drunk driving incident. Arriving around 7:45 PM KST, Suga publicly expressed his deep remorse before entering the precinct. He bowed his head and stated, “Firstly, I apologize. I have greatly disappointed my fans and many people, and I’m deeply reflecting on it.” He further promised to fully cooperate with the investigation, adding, “I will diligently participate in the investigation. Once again, I’m sorry.”
This appearance marks 17 days since news of the incident first surfaced, stemming from an event on August 6, when Suga reportedly fell off an electric scooter near his home. A patrolling officer detected alcohol on his breath, leading to a breathalyzer test and subsequent police involvement. Unconfirmed reports suggested that his blood alcohol content was significantly above the legal limit, further intensifying the controversy.
As Suga continues to face the consequences of his actions, fans and the public await the outcome of the investigation.
