BTS’ Jungkook’s GOLDEN Breaks a 29 Year Old Record

BTS’ Jungkook is breaking records, one after the other. The singer’s debut solo album, GOLDEN, has recently broken a 29-year-old record to become the best-selling album by a Korean soloist. He sold 2.9 million copies, breaking singer and songwriter Kim Gun Mo’s long record, which the latter had achieved with his 1995 studio album Wrongful Meeting or Wrongful Encounter.

GOLDEN now stands as the best-selling album by a Korean soloist. The album was released on November 3, 2023. Its popular song Seven (feat. Latto) was released on July 14, 2023. Tracks from GOLDEN, including Standing Next to You, 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), Closer to You (ft. Major Lazer), Yes or No, Please Don’t Change (feat DJ Snake), Hate You, Somebody, Too Sad to Dance, and Shot Glass of Tears have been majorly appreciated by fans worldwide.
