BTS’ Jin: I think of ARMYs as my family

BTA and ARMYs share a bond that goes beyond the bond of stars and their fans. The Korean boy band has always credited their fan base for their success and acknowledged their love and appreciation. BTS’ eldest member, Kim Seokjin, who is back from the military is working on his album Happy which is dedicated to ARMYs.

During his appearance on a show, he was asked about a fashion event he appeared at where fans were chanting his name excitedly. Referring to the incident, Jin said, “Sometimes, when I have to attend events where I don’t know other people, I get so lost. I’m super shy, but you have to attend a lot of events like that. I think of my fans as my family and when they call out my name, it gives me the courage to act shamelessly. That’s how I can act more boldly and get more energy. As someone who is very thankful of my fans, it’s my job to make them happy. I keep those words in my heart.”

Jin further added, “When they (Producers) asked what I want this album to be like, I said, ‘I want to make it a letter to my fans.’ Since I love giving surprise events, I’m thinking of different things once the album is out. I want my fans to receive big happiness rather than small happiness when they see me. My fans gave me everything I have. As far as I have this job I have to live for my fans. That cannot be compromised.”

Jin’s first solo album Happy will release on November 15.
