Boney Kapoor inaugurates Sridevi Chowk in Mumbai


Boney Kapoor inaugurated the Sridevi Chowk in Mumbai to honour his late actress-wife on Dusshera. He was joined by their daughter Khushi Kapoor. The chowk has been inaugurated in Lokhandwala. It is located near the late actress’ former residence at Green Acres Tower. Actress Shabana Azmi was also present at the event.

The producer took to his social media handle to share a photo of the same.


Sridevi passed away in 2018 leaving behind her husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters, Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.

The actress made her debut as a child in 1967 with the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai and had a career spanning over 50 years. She acted in more than 250 films across several languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

Her last screen appearance was in the film Zero where she made a cameo.
