Barbie fans around the world are counting down to the release of the Barbie movie, which is set to land in theatres on July 21, 2023. 

Posters for the film dropped yesterday, showing stars including Margot Robbie, 32, and Ryan Gosling, 42 in their iconic roles. 

But have you ever wondered what your character might look like in Barbieland? 

Well now you can find out, thanks to a new tool dubbed the Barbie Selfie Generator.

The tool uses artificial intelligence (AI) to transform your photos into Barbie movie posters

How to try it yourself 

  1. Visit www.barbieselfie.ai
  2. Click start
  3. Take or upload a photo of yourself
  4. Reposition your selfie, edit the caption and change the background colour using the tools on the right 
  5. Once you’re happy, click continue and you download or share your masterpiece! 

To celebrate the release of the new posters, Warner Bros Entertainment has released a free tool called the Barbie Selfie Generator

‘Welcome to Barbieland, where you can be Barbie (or Ken),’ the landing page for the tool reads. 

‘Click below to become an instant icon!’

To test the tool yourself, click Start and you’ll prompted to either take or upload a photo of yourself. 

‘For the best results, hold your phone futher back to get a better angle and make sure you’re in a well-lit place,’ the tool advises. 

Once you’re happy with your selection, click Continue and your selfie will be transformed into a film poster.

To reposition your image, select the arrow tool on the right, and you’ll be able to zoom in or out, and move the selfie from left to right. 

The tool automatically selects a slogan for you, such as ‘This Barbie is an optimist’ or ‘This Barbie is an astronaut’.

To celebrate the release of the new posters, Warner Bros Entertainment has released a free tool called the Barbie Selfie Generator 

However, if you’re not happy with your slogan, you can edit this by clicking on the pencil icon and typing your preferred slogan into the text box/

If you’d prefer your poster to be for Ken, you can also adjust this under the pencil icon. 

It’s worth noting that any rude words will be starred out, so make sure you keep things PG. 

Finally, you can choose to change the colour of the sparkles behind you by clicking on the palette icon on the right. 

Once you’re happy with your poster, click Continue and you’ll be given the option to download it or share it on social media. 

The tool has gone down a storm on Twitter, with many users sharing their selfies. 

One user wrote: ‘This Ken is having way too much fun with the Barbie selfie thing.’

Another added: ‘this barbie selfie generator is too fun, a movie that’s giving so much in the run up already.’

And one joked: ‘Brb selling my soul to the Barbie AI Selfie Generator.’

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling led the newly-released posters for the very secret project Barbie released on Tuesday morning as DailyMail.com exclusively revealed Dua Lipa is set to record the theme song.

The 32-year-old Australian actress and 42-year-old Canadian actor were featured in two of the 25 character images as they play iconic doll couple Barbie and Ken.

However, one thing many have found out about the hush-hush project that many found out with the posters release is that there are several Barbies and Kens featured in the highly-anticipated film. 

Though little is known about the project, many of the film’s stars have been rumored to be playing alternate versions of the toy power couple as actresses also playing Barbie include: Issa Rae (president Barbie), Kate McKinnon (gymnast Barbie), Nicola Coughlan (diplomat Barbie), Alexandra Shipp (writer Barbie), Ritu Arya (journalist Barbie), Hari Nef (doctor Barbie), Emma Mackey (physicist Barbie), Dua Lipa (mermaid Barbie), Ana Cruz Kayne (judge Barbie), and Sharon Rooney (lawyer Barbie).

Following Gosling as Ken are Ncuti Gatwa, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Scott Evans. There is also one of Michael Cera which is labeled as ‘there’s only one Alan.’
