Arthdal Chronicles 2: Lee Joon-gi talks about taking over Song Joon-ki’s…


Lee Joon-gi, Shin Se-kyung, Kim Ok-vin and Jang Don-gun starrer Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun, is all set to premiere on September 9.

At the recent press conference of the series, Lee Joon-gi, who will be playing the double role and elder version of twins – Eunseom and SaYa, exclaimed that he was extremely happy when the production team approached him with those roles. He also revealed that he has loved the writers’ work since he has been a big fan of historical dramas. Although it was scary for him considering how big the roles were but he wanted to prove that he could do justice to the role that were previously acted by Song Joon-ki).


He also spoke about the worries he had during production. He shared that he didn’t get much sleep between filming episode one to ten because he was anxious about doing a good job.

Lee Joon-gi further revealed that he had to pause his personal life during the filming of the series. He explained that his role was emotionally exhausting, and he had to invest all his energy into comprehending the characters to the best of his ability. 


Arthdal Chronicles Season 2: The Sword of Aramun is set approximately a decade after Season 1 which starred Song Joon-ki and Kim Ji-won. This K-drama is an epic fantasy about the mythical ancient land of Arth. It also stars Shin Se-kyung as the older version of Tan Ya.
