Anti-Brahminism has done much damage in Southern states like TamilNadu where Brahmins were forced out of states or live in ghettos. And that venom is being spread by various organizations even in North India. There are organizations like Arjak Sangh that are spreading venom against a particular community and they must be banned immediately.
People like Arun Kumar Gupta, who are spreading venom against particular caste and community is evident from his speech in video below and he should be put behind bars without mercy.
Leaders of Arjak Sangh believe in total rejection of Ramayan, Mahabharat and Manusmriti. Infact Arjak Sangh workers have openly burned copies of Tulsi Ramayan to protest against its brahmin-supremacy and anti-constitutional content.
Reform in Hinduism
In the last two centuries, Hinduism has gone through many reform movements like Arya Samaj, Prarthna Samaj, Brahmo Samaj, Ramkrishna movement which tried to remove the archaic pratices which have become evil in the modern society. From advancement of women’s rights to bringing equality among various sections of society in customs and rituals, various changes have happened at societal and legal level in the last two centuries.
Unlike the Abrahamic religions, which are rigid to change, Hinduism has gone through constant churn and adopted to changing times because the fundamentals of Sanatana Dharm are based on questioning the authority and there is no single book or single God who claim absolute authority on truth.
The people like Arun Kumar Gupta who are trying to divide the society by exploiting its fault lines through various unbacked claims and half-truths are dangerous to the stability of the country.
Interestingly, original scholars from all across the globe have acknowledged the fact that the Hindu Civilization, or the Indus-Valley civilization, was the most vibrant and scientific civilization that has ever emerged on earth. The sanatani Civilization emerged with science and Spirituality as its prime pillars. And thus, the formation of Vedas came into being. The actuality of the Vedas was to enlighten philosophical knowledge. However, the hatemongers turned this narrative into “Brahminical Patriarchy” for their benefit.
Hatred against Brahmins
Throughout the history, Brahmins have been at the receiving end of hatred, violence, and misrepresentation. Brahmins faced institutional or societal persecution in Tamil Nadu as well as other Indian states. Students living the satvic way of life are mocked at schools and colleges. They face discrimination in job opportunities and are incessantly down shadowed by other identity groups in every walk of life.
More recently, during farmer protests, Rakesh Tikait insulted Hindus. He tried to outrage Brahmins by saying that “they can go on pilgrimages but cannot organize food for us”. He further gave threats that “everyone will be made to pay”, which was a Marxist call for reparations.
The liberals also questioned the naming of characters in the Amazon Prime series Panchayat, which was loved by millions across the country for its portrayal of village life in India. Hundreds of inspiring scenes and yet what the liberals ended up noticing – “a board hanging outside the local government office stating the names of the officials — they have the surnames Dubey, Tripathi, and Shukla — all Brahmins.”
With every new episode, there appeared a new story that keeps the audience glued to their couch, and yet the liberals ended up witnessing only one thing – “every episode shows another official with the surname Pandey, another Brahmin.”
Feminism India, a media portal, published an article titled “Panchayat Web Series: A Brahmin Cast And Crew Romanticises A Meritless All-Brahmin Local Government.” While the title suggests that is the review of Panchayat Season 2 web series, it was more about the depiction of Brahminism.
ScoopWhoop too published an article titled “While It’s Loved For Its View On Village Life, Panchayat Completely Ignores The Casteism Within It”. The article didn’t mention about the storyline, cast, direction and content. What it mentioned is only “Brahminism” as it suits its agenda.
The rising hatred against the Brahmins is disturbing because this can lead to something similar that happened in TamilNadu. Therefore, it is important for the government to take pre-emptive action and put the people behind bars for spreading hatred against a particular community.
