Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are one of the most loved and respected couples of the country and there is no denying that. Both Virat and Anushka have a massive fan following separately and together too. Anushka and Virat surprised everyone when they announced their pregnancy with a post and the world couldn’t keep calm. Now, entering the month of her first child’s birth, Anushka got candid about her pregnancy journey in an interview with a leading fashion magazine.
Talking about the changes in her body she told the magazine, “Smells would revolt me, I couldn’t go near the kitchen. I swear, I could smell people’s skin. I thought it was never going to end.” She added, “I didn’t think I could feel so tired. I am an active person and it was startling, but even when you’re in pain, or uncomfortable, you are still thinking: have I eaten at the right time? Is the baby okay,”
Anushka also revealed to the fashion magazine that she did not have any real cravings, “I was eating only toast and crackers for the first three months. So, when it ended I wanted to eat vada pao and bhel puri, but that didn’t last long either. So no real cravings,”
Recalling the initial days of her pregnancy Anushka added that during Bulbbul promotions she suddenly felt unwell and nauseous on a zoom call with the team. She said “I quickly turned off my video and messaged my brother (Karnesh Sharma, co-producer), who was also on the call, to stall them for ten minutes. If I had been on set or in a studio, everyone would have known.”
The mom-to-be also said that lockdown came as a blessing in disguise as she and Virat could spend time together and even hide the news of pregnancy till they wanted to. She said, “The pandemic has been a weird blessing in a way. Virat was around and I could keep it a secret. We only left to go to the doctor’s clinic. No one was on the streets so we couldn’t be spotted.” Can’t wait for Baby Virushka to arrive, don’t you agree?
