The director of Angry Young Men, Namrata Rao, recently spoke about the series and how it highlights the iconic journey of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. The filmmaker revealed that the team shot content over 800 hours.
Namrata said, “While I started shooting, I thought a lot of the information wasn’t interesting. What was more interesting was the kind of people they are, what makes them the artists they are, and how they created these kinds of characters. Then the docu started revealing itself. So, it is now a portrait of these artists.”
Angry Young Men traces the lives and legacy of Salim-Javed. The film focuses on the professional brilliance and personal complexities of the duo, showcasing the men who revolutionised Hindi cinema.
