Following the passing of filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s mother, Pamela Chopra, on Thursday morning, Amitabh Bachchan and his family paid a visit to Aditya’s home in Mumbai to offer their condolences. Later that day, Amitabh wrote on his blog about the fond memories he shared with Pamela during film shoots and how her sudden death had left him feeling as though “life comes to a standstill.”
Amitabh took to his blog and wrote about Pamela. He wrote, “In the middle of the efforts made to achieve .. comes the sudden news of the passing of Pamela Chopra, wife of Yash Chopra .. and life comes to a standstill! So much to have spent with her and the filmmaking and the music sittings and the outdoors and the homely get togethers .. all gone in a breath .. And one by one they all leave us ..all left with the pleasant times spent ..And after this ordeal of the first day .. a quick visit to Yash ji’s home and meeting the family and reliving all those years of the past ..life is so unpredictable and tough ..”
Amitabh Bachchan arrived at the Chopra residence along with his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Amitabh has acted in several YRF films, including the movie Kabhie Kabhie, which was written by Pamela Chopra herself.
On Thursday morning, Pamela Chopra passed away at the age of 74. According to reports, she had been hospitalised for fifteen days due to age-related health issues. The Chopra family confirmed her passing in a statement and revealed that her cremation took place in Mumbai on Thursday at 11 am.
