Allu Arjun To Be Charged for Pushpa 2 Premiere Stampede


Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2: The Rule had its grand theatrical release on December 5 and as expected, the theatres were swamped with people. However, an unfortunate incident occurred when the actor visited the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of the film, leading to a stampede which killed a woman and her son. Now, the police have filed a case against Allu Arjun, his team and the theatre’s management.

They have been charged under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118 (1) voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the BNS.

As per the police, the theatre management was aware of the actor’s arrival but neither Allu Arjun’s team, nor the theatre management gave any notice that they would be attending the show. There was no separate entrance or exit for them as well.

Investigation is underway in the case.

A stampede broke out on December 5 at Sandhya Theatre as the actor arrived for the premiere. It resulted in the death of one 39-year-old woman and the injury of her son. Reports have identified the woman as Revathi.
