Alia Bhatt is reportedly in talks with Kalki: 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin for an upcoming project. As per reports on a leading news portal, Ashwin is working on a female-centric film and Alia is being eyed for the lead role.
The report suggests that the script has been crafted with Alia in mind. While much of the plot remains under wraps, the film has themes of empowerment. The project will likely be backed by the producers of Kalki: 2898 AD.
Nag Ashwin is currently working on the sequel to the sci-fi epic. The first film starring Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan ended on a cliffhanger.
Alia Bhatt was last seen in Jigra. The Vasan Bala film saw her star alongside Vedang Raina. Her slate of films includes the spy thriller Alpha, the first all-female film in YRF’s Spy Universe. Alia will lead the film alongside Sharvari.
