Social media users have accused her of showing off a fake bump, but Deepika has chosen to remain silent on the matter. However, actor Alia Bhatt and others have shown their support.

Alia Bhatt Reacts Against the Trolls:

As the online trolling intensified, renowned journalist Faye D’Souza took to Instagram to defend Deepika. In her post, Faye wrote, “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.”

One user commented, “She is not pregnant. This is embarrassing,” while another wrote, “Why is she walking like that, the bump isn’t that big yet.”

Several celebrities reacted to Faye’s post. Alia was quick to ‘like’ the post, and her sisters Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, along with their mother Soni Razdan, also showed their agreement by liking the post. Actor Shruti Seth commented, “Luckily @deepikapadukone is too busy taking over the world to give a damn! She’s walking all over their damn opinions.” Actor Tina Datta added, “Exactly! People have lost it.”

Deepika Padukone’s Fans Rally in Support:

While a segment of social media users have been trolling, Deepika’s fans have rallied in her support. Many praised Alia for her empathy and support. One user wrote, “After the hate Alia got, I can see her empathizing with DP. Everyone sympathizes, but Alia went through similar speculations, so she can personally relate.”

Another user commented, “This is the time they need to be supportive! It’s too personal to stoop to this level and interfere. Opinions from strangers are the last thing she needs right now. Hope the baby, mama, and dad are all okay and enjoying every moment.”

Deepika and Ranveer, who have been happily married for almost six years, recently announced they are expecting their first child. The couple is set to welcome their baby in September 2024.
