Alia Bhatt recently watched Rani Mukerji’s Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway with her family. On Sunday, Alia took to Instagram stories and shared her thoughts on the film and Rani’s performance.
Sharing a heartfelt note, Alia wrote, “Saturday night was spent in tears with my mom and sister as we watched our favourite – the brilliant Rani Mukherjee. Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is such an important story to tell. For me, especially as a new mother, it hit so much harder and so much closer to home.”
Praising Rani Mukerji’s performance, Alia wrote,”Rani Ma’am-there’s no one like you! You had me transfixed and I was transported right by your side from Norway to India! Congratulations to the full team for this incredible film”
She also complimented Jim Sarbh, who played an important role in the film and wrote, “P.S – I am convinced there’s nothing my fav @jimsarbhforreal can’t do-an absolute chameleon.”
Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway, directed by Ashima Chibber, attempted to adapt a true-life story to the screen. It portrays the struggles of a mother who battles against all difficulties to regain custody of her kids. The film also features Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh and Anirban Bhattacharya among others. Rani’s performance in the film has received a lot of praise from moviegoers.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Alia Bhatt will next appear in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. She will be making her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. She will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
